Developing People and Team Culture
- Traditional Classroom: 1-day
- Virtual Instructor-led: Two 3-3.5 hour sessions or Three 2-hour sessions
Communication is the number-one capability needed for professional success, and it’s a skill set we need to continually refine and develop. In part one of interactive course, we will use the Everything DiSC® framework as a lens to explore and understand different communication needs, styles, and preferences. Through individual reflection, small group activities, and collaborative work as a class, we will investigate the importance of flexing your communication style based on the needs of your audience. You’ll learn concrete techniques for communicating more intentionally and effectively with colleagues... and especially people whose styles are different than your own.
If a message is to have impact and meaning, a leader’s effectiveness is dependent on not only knowing what to communicate, but knowing how to communicate. Part two of this course builds on what was learned in part one using DiSC® and explores how observable behaviors often map to different DiSC styles and how this can affect and influence how individuals receive and respond to communications. At the end of this session you will be able to apply your knowledge of DiSC styles to improve the effectiveness and intentionality of your communication with others.
