    • Schedule Variance (SV) = EV - PV (Positive SV = ahead of schedule; Negative SV = behind)

  3. Analyze Performance Trends
    Review SPI and CPI trends to determine whether the project is on track. A CPI or SPI below 1 signals a need for corrective action.
  4. Forecast Project Completion
    Use Estimate at Completion (EAC) and Estimate to Complete (ETC) calculations to predict final project costs and completion dates.
  5. Take Corrective Actions
    If cost or schedule variances are significant, adjust resources, timelines, or scope to realign the project with its goals.
